SHACKLED SMILE…
I see out
The sky is bright,
Birds take flight
With all their might.
I sit here,
Trapped in fear!
Screaming in silence
Losing my patience…
You stand there
Away from me,
With this iron barrier
Between us.
I am shackled,
You are free.
Don’t rescue me,
Or you will be trapped
Along with me!
My limbs are bruised,
My throat is parched,
My eyes are tired
Yet I see you.
Your carefree laughter
Curves my swollen lips
Into a painful
Long forgotten smile…

Buddy! This is like a miniskirt! Gives the eyes a tease but covers just the right stuff! :D

Thank you so much Jyothi :) This is the first time I am receiving such a naughty comment on my poem ;) I wrote this poem after a long time. You will have to wait a few more days for my short story :)
