HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers have been pivotal in keeping the spirit of knowledge alive and burning in our hearts. They inspire us to create our own way and surge ahead even when there is no path before us. Today, let us take this opportunity to thank all the teachers who have touched our lives. This poem is dedicated to all the teachers and especially the ones who shaped my life.

A Promise

I was an aimless butterfly
With no goal to fly.
You made me a bee
Gathering the nectar of knowledge.

I was a pebble
Among sand and gravel,
You made me shine
A diamond, forever I will shine.

You showed me the way
With opportunities as wings,
You inspired me to fly
For the stars are within my reach!

My parents,
Gave me life.
My teachers,
Made me discover life.

I know not, my future.
Yet, all that I achieve,
I promise,
With gratitude in my heart
And a tear in my eye
I will say,
‘I owe it all to my teacher!’

Two Strangers… One Lockdown! {9} ‘I hope you like the coffee,’ said Ekaparnika with a smile. ‘It is perfect,’ I replied with a formal smile.
